Very rare 'Large Madonna with Child' by Steph Uiterwaal, manufactured by Glasfabriek Leerdam in 1929. This impressive sculpture measures 37 cm in height and is in excellent condition.
The work is immediately recognizable as an authentic creation by Uiterwaal for Leerdam, despite the absence of the monogram. An exemplary piece of art deco glassware that combines religious iconography with modernist design.
Ideal for collectors of Dutch glass art and medieval religious art objects. This piece reflects the period when Leerdam established itself as a leading producer of artistic glass in Europe.
