Beautiful large antique nativity scene figure of King Melchior, one of the Three Wise Men.
The figure is signed G.L.V. – Gerard Linssen Venlo, a renowned studio known for its high-quality religious plaster statues.
This heavy plaster figure dates from the late 19th century / early 20th century and shows some age-related wear.
A few small pieces are missing from the crown, but this is barely noticeable when a tea light is placed behind or next to it — the light even gives the crown a warm glow.
An impressively large nativity scene figure with presence and character, perfect for collectors of Linssen art, nativity sets, or religious antiques.
