Beautiful antique French standing statue of the Virgin Mary with Child, made of sound plaster with an authentic patina. This devotional artwork offers two display options: it stands securely on a surface or hangs elegantly on the wall.
The underside bears the maker’s mark “Aux Santons D’Art / J Spery” and the address 8 Rue Barbaroux in Marseille—a signature of French artisanal quality. Dated stylistically to the 1920s–1940s, a period when French plaster devotional objects enjoyed international renown.
Dimensions: 31 cm high × 21 cm wide.
A valued addition for collectors of religious art and enthusiasts of French Provençal craftsmanship. The natural patina bears witness to age and use, characteristic of original vintage pieces.
